Alexander vs East Burke

Well that time of year has come again when Alexander and East Burke play again. Well will it be different this year or will it be the same way like the past 3 years. This is not to Knock Coach Harper but he hasnt beaten EB since going to Alexander and I dont think it is going to happen this year. Lets look Alexander 5-2 thats good being that you havent played anyone. I think Alexander has the 3th or 4th easiest schedule in the 4A and East Burke has the 10th hardest schedule in the 4A.Yes East Burke is 2-4. But we will see if the Coaches at Alexander can out Coaches of East Burke thats what its going to come down to. Good Luck to both Teams. But i would have to give this one to East Burke. Go Caves.

 

Alexander Central by 20

The Rockets just played these two teams back to back, and Alexander is better, no contest.

 

i dont know about the 20 point spread but i do see AC winning this one. alot has been said about the Cougar offense but very little has been mentioned about their defense, which i think is the strongest part of their team. the game is at AC this year. it should be a good one whoever wins!

 

Well the 20 point spread was posted by my brother not the REAL "Reynoldsrocks23". He didn't realize he was on my screen name. Anyway, I do feel AC wins the game, but more in the range of 10-14 points. Their defense is good, and I think EB will have problems scoring.

 

Must Win

This is a must win for both teams. East Burke has got to win the game or the season is down the tubes. Even a win over Freedom on Fat Friday would not salvage the year. For Alexander Central, it is a game they must win. How will they rebound from a tough loss at AC Reynolds? The Cougars played a great game on defense but were shut down in the 2nd half. Last year in Icard the Cavs took advantage of a very bad call on roughing the punter and won after being down by 13 with less than 9 minutes to go. The Cougars took about 3 weeks to get over it, and it is still a very sore subject in Tvillle. As we all know sometimes a call is missed, you just have to play through it. Yes it was a very bad call, but even so, the Cougars did not respond when they could have put the game away. One factor to consider, if it rains, and the forecast says it will, a sloppy track could help East Burke. Alexander Central is not a bunch of sprinters, but they are overall quicker than East Burke. The Cougars should win the game. Bowles will get over 100 and Harrington, who is turning into a very good QB, will throw against the Cav secondary. It will be close, but give it to the Cougars.

I have to say the call last year was not roughing the punter, but the alexander player should not have touched the punter and left it up to the ref.
East Burke has a shot at a win, Yes the AC Reynolds game is the worst game I have seen EB play in a long time. Everybody has these kind of games where nothing goes right. EB's main problem this year seems to be the coach won't settle on who is going to play QB. In the Reynolds game he switched QB's 5 times. This late in the season you should know who the QB would be.
Hopefully EB will make it interesting to the end. We had some luck last year and it seems that this year we just aren't getting the luck. So enjoy it South Caldwell. It is a lot of fun when it happens.

 

The call last year was the worst call Ive have ever seen in High School Football. The ref had to be Biggerstaff's pool cleaner or something. EBHS you know it won the game for East Burke. How about the old gentleman ( well I cant call him a gentleman) that stood outside the Alexander dressing room last year and belittled our team, hope he makes the trip over to Alexander this year. Hope our fans do show your team a little more respect and class than we were shown last year at your place. Burke county deputies stood and watched this guy. Alexander by 2 touchdowns

 

Now everybody knows East Burke dosen't do stuff like that?

 

No it helped EB win, Alexander still could have stopped them but didn't.

No EB doesn't do that, but there are always one fan from every team that seems to get a kick out of rubbing the win in. One fan does not mean the whole school is like that.

 

Is Harper going to do the same think he did 2 years ago and put Black Rose in the locker Room to help pump up the players at ACHS. Well we will see how Alexander can play against EB. EB by 10 is what i am going to say I have seen both teams play and I know how both teams are Coached. To add one thing How in the World can Chris Deal be Coach of the week of the Panthers when he has only had 1 winning season at ACHS. I mean what happen to Coach Bigs which I think is one of the Best Coaches in the State taking a team that won 3 games to an 9-0 start 2 years in a row. Like I said Get ready Alexander the big bad Boys from Icard are coming to town.
