I would like to see more colleges add sofball to their sports program. Davidson, Duke and Wake Forest are just a few that I can think of.

How about them Clemson (lady) Tigers? They could recruit all they needed in a 100 mile radius.

Yes , I agree that more 4 year Colleges should look into adding softball programs. I would also like to see North Carolina's technical and community colleges have softball programs added as well.
Let's face it most high school girls are not going to receive a full scholarship to a Div. 1 school in softball......In fact very few young ladies EVER do. In my research it appears that some of the first string starters from the the Div. 1 eastern Schools are picked up from Florida and Tennessee Junior Colleges.

Check out these schools they play : http://www.tjccaa.com/sports/softball/softball.htm

These are Two Year schools with softball:

Jessi Emery played at Chattanooga State Technical Community College where she led the T.J.C.C.A.A. in home runs in 2005. She proved to Georgia she could take it to the next level , academically and as a power hitting catcher.

    Check out her bio: http://georgiadogs.collegesports.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/emery_jessi00.html

Ashely Adams at WCU : http://catamountsports.collegesports.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/adams_ashley00.html

Savannah Filley at WCU : http://catamountsports.collegesports.com/sports/w-softbl/mtt/filley_savannah00.html

This girl played at Palm Beach C.C. never played Div. 1,2,3

It also gives Coaches an opportunity to learn a higher level like Venus Taylor

I would like to see the level of play of the T.J.C.C.A.A. in North Carolina with the addition of 6-8 new commumity college/ state technical schools and this could be a conduit of recruitment for all east coast 4 year schools.
