On Deck O's Showcase

Also appeared very well coached....pulled off a nice pitchout/pickoff on an attempted squeeze.

 

Cubs 18U

split on Sunday. Beat Charlotte Express 6-3. WP was Robbie Bray who went six. Lost the last game 6-1 to the On Deck O's. Only the second loss of the fall for Cubs. A pretty lackluster weekend by the team. Bats weren't what they usually are. Two week layoff probably hurt.

Andress pitched very well and the O's executed better and ran the bases well to, also played very good defense behind andress. the cubs pitcher was alittle erratic in the strikezone early in the game and gave up a few walks

Victory Crusaders - 0

WP: Ryan Rockecharlie

The O's finish 4-0 on the weekend and will face a brutal schedule next weekend in GA. at piedmont college with the EC Astros, EC Braves, Impact Dirtbags, etc... will be a great warmup for JUPITER

 

Friday night - Mt. Pleasant HS

On Decks O's showcase started at a 'less than playable' Mt. Pleasant HS. The games continued regardless of field conditions....

Cubs get Chanced!

And welcome to the central Piedmont umpiring. The Cubs got CHANCED, yes that's right, Greg Chance, the show, umpired behind the plate. The Cubs, obviously didn't know what they were dealing with and tried to argue, which was/is not the thing to do with the show. You won't win with that guy, so you just have to grin and bear it and try and humor him. He's a trip, file that one in your book for next time.

Anyway I don't think it was the difference in the game and balls and strikes were called pretty well.

 

...I gotta remember that the next time I see him... "Chanced"
