Has NWC played anyone of high caliber this season so far? The paper doesn't talk too much about them here, it's usually West Rowan or Salisbury. This weekend will be THE game to watch in the state in my opinion. Two 8-0 teams going head to head. Both ranked in the state. Playoff games come early this year!! Being a West Rowan Alum and former football player for Coach Young, as well as helping with the team this year I really and truly believe this may be the best team in the history of West Rowan football, and I was a part of the 12-2 team that is currently the best standing record for West. These guys have the heart and the talent! I don't think anyone will stop them this year!

This will be a good test for the Falcons. Although, I think they will win, the Faggart twins are tremendous athlete's and will battle to the end.

I'm hearing that NWC QB Jake Faggart has a torn ACL and is out for the season.

yeah that would suck if the QB is out, and then west will hear the old "if he would have played...." we heard that after Davie's RB didnt play against them. I'm gettin hyped for this game already and they are preselling the tickets at West, I believe the last time they did that was against AL Brown my senior yr when we beat them. If anybody hears for sure whether he is out or not let me know.

Yea that would be bad.Hes a good one. I know he ate up North Iredell. NW never did run the ball that good, but about 5 big plays did them in, usually at the hands of the Faggart kid.

It is confirmed...surgery will be Friday hoping he will be ready for baseball..I'm hearing he may play around mid April or early May....Brandon Locklear will be filling in at QB for NWC..He didn't play last year and has not took many snaps this year BUT they say the kid can pass...setting JV records two years ago... Good Luck Jake...you will be missed!!!

That 2000 team was really good, well balanced on offense with Hampton and Everhardt. I wouldnt be so quick to rank this years team up there until they get the job done in the post season (like the 2000 team did) but I do agree that they're very stout.

    NWC has beaten....
    Sun Valley 4-4
    Concord 4-4
    C. Cabarrus 4-4
    Robinson 1-7
    Mt. Pleasant 4-4
    N. Iredell 7-2
    Statesville 0-8
    W. Iredell 6-3

.......no real powerhouses but some decent teams. I would say their toughest competition to date was recent upstart N. Iredell whom they crushed at home in stunning come from behind fashion. The loss of Faggart will affect their chemistry on offense but how much remains to be seen. In my opinion the WR defense is too fast but I have heards concerns about their pass defense from some of their fans on another board. My pick is WR by at least two touchdowns.
