    Tough Day ahead for Winner

They must have had some bad weather yesterday since the quarterfinals were not played until this morning. Winner has to win four straight in one day back-to back-to back-to back. The most my son's teams have ever played in one day was three. They were wiped completely out!

For Midland Redskins, Sam Runion, ACR was the winning pitcher today and Justin Jackson, TCR went 1-2 with 2 RBI's .... Great showing by the NC guys.

it rained buckets after sundown Sat washing out a couple of evening games at Roger Dean Stadium (Cards/Marlins). Then it rained early Sunday pushing the games back. Only 1 field has lights so they can't pull a donnie broome and play till 2 in the morning. What is amazing is that the fields were absolutely ready to play on. It woulda taken a week to dry out on the piedmont.

If my relayed info was correct, all games today were limited to 5 innings. So you had to get out fast and hold on!

looks like 2 unearned runs given to a team that doesn't give em up made it tough on the Dirtbags - even though it looks like ryan morris did all he could do ( unless the unearneds came from walks). Anyway it was a super job by the dbags. Safe travels home and good luck in your last HS seasons.

Another great tournament for the NC teams. Just think about it; there is over 30+ National teams...teams that recruit across the country and we 'lil Tar Heels continue to spank their butts year after year in Jupiter. It's even more amazing that the O's continue to be a strong contender each year considering their players are usually from the Charlotte and surrounding areas only.

I just wish the Cubs could have been there...they probably would have won their pool also :D

The East Cobb Astro's team is so dominant this year...clearly the top program in the country this year. The Dirtbags gave them all they wanted! :woohoo:
