    ac won the 4th quarter 4 to 2, hickory girls might need some of those extra points dec 9 when they travel to foard

    McDowell will be back

    Just like the tar heels the lady titans are a young team. Every one is so use to watching the lady titans sweep the nw4a that they will consider every lose an upset this year. We will take our licks :thud: and be a much better team at the end of the season than we are now. :woohoo:

    Let's keep in mind that ACR is very young also. Yes, they return two very talented players in Alex Thompson and Brianna Worley, but that is ALL as far as returning starters. The other three starters (Amanda Whitaker, Amber Roberts and Amy Huntley) either came off the bench last year as sophomores (Amanda and Amber) or didn't even play hoops (Amy). Then you mix in the fact that the bench is made up of mainly 10th and 11th graders who haven't seen varsity action, and you see why ACR has been struggling a little so far. ACR will be much better by the end of the year, and I hope that for the NW4A sake that McDowell gets much along with the rest of the conference. That only makes because everyone better come playoff time!

    yeah, we play @ Owen next Saturday...

    Nice recovery for the Lady Titans. Washington and Hamilton both had great nights. Hamilton was perfect from the field ( 5 of 5 ) and perfect from the line ( 5 of 5 ) to score her 15 points. Washington had eight boards to go with her 23 points. Kelsea Greene, while not scoring a ton of points did dish out seven assists.

    Foard is a very good team but SC played pretty poorly tonight. Bad shot selection, terrible passes and many missed freethrows still they had a lead in the fourth quarter but that with SC only playing 5 girls nearly all the time they are going to lose games in the fourth quarter to team that play 8-9 girls and are fresher at the end of the game. Rough night for SC as they lost all 4 games with the jv girls blowing a 20 some point lead to lose by 3

    Yeah South Caldwell game was lost at the free throw line. Also as sc fan said bad shot selection but will just have to shake it off.
