Very Important Question- Rowan County

Isn't Mike London the reporter that does such a great job in HS athletics reporting for the Salisbury Post. I have heard so much about the reporter of the Salisbury newspaper and I just want to make sure this is him.

If it is, would you guys give me a story about him that you can share...thanks in advance.

Yes it is Mike London. He does the best job of anyone I have seen covering High School Athletics. I read the Sailsbury Post everyday on-line just to see what is happening in high school sports and they cover schools not even in Rowan County. I wish some of the "bigger" newspapers would cover High School Athletics like he does. Keep up the great work Mike!! :xyzthumbs

Braves, I know that I am the fourth guy to tell you how great of a guy he is, but he is something special. This guy can tell you names records of what has gone on in any athletics in rowan and cabarrus county. Hes a walking sports almanac. Anyway, you need some contact info or something let me know.

 

Mike London is a really nice guy as well a gifted writer. He wrote a series of articles a few years back on Dale Earnhardt's early years. The story tells how Mike's father help get Dale started. This was a really good story and should be picked up by someone like ESPN!

 

Some of you have sent me some great stories about Mike London. I really appreciate it. If you can do one other thing I would appreciate it. What are you doing Braves,,,, recruiting Mike?

Mike is just like most of us, a small-town boy who loves his sports, especially covering local high school athletes and giving these local kids their day in the sun. Most big newspapers say they can't spend as much time on local sports because they have "other" obligations,,, but because of folks like Mike, the Salisbury Post is one of the best if not THE BEST local sports sections you will ever find in any newspaper. The Post is loaded with stats, and giving daily props to local athletes, you can find almost anything in the Salisbury Post concerning past or present local athletes. If you want to know where a former HS basketball player is now playing, read the Post,,,, if you want to know how a former HS baseball player is doing in college, read the Post.

Bottomline,,, to heck with the Panthers, Bobcats, etc,,,,,,, Mike loves covering the local athletes, and he does a great job at it too...

Seriously, I was asked who I thought does a great job with HS sports and I remembered all the good things people had said about Mike and the Salisbury Post. I thought he should be recognized for his reporting

 

I was reading this article by The Salisbury Post's Mike London today and I was struck by how lucky we in Rowan, Davie, and Cabarrus County are to have a guy like him covering HS sports in our area. Although this article is about West Rowan and North Rowan(mostly West) Mike has worked very hard to give all the local HS equal time in the press. We are indeed fortunate to have a guy of his talent covering HS sports in our community. His work has helped countless athletes in their quest to play at the next level thru press coverage. If they were to give a national award for the best HS sports coverage Mike London would be hard to beat. The link is below....hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
