Gotta Pitching Rule Question

Two tone gloves

Once again it is on the NFHS web site. Two tone gloves that do not have white or gray are legal for pitchers. If they have white or gray they are illegal for a pitchers. This is a new rule for 2006 to clarify what is acceptable by rules standard.

I've always heard no white or grey sleeves, gloves, or hats could be worn to the mound. I'll always remember one fall game when my son went to the mound wearing a white hat. "Blue" called time and told him he had to change hats. Not having another one with him, my son had to borrow a buddies hat from the field. After it took a million years for him to get the brim "just right" Blue wished he hadn't brought it up LOL.

 

That glove would not be allowed on a pitcher last year or this year. The rule wording changed this year to say the pitcher's glove cannot contain the colors of white or gray. Sorry
