I know, I know...I don't do that very often, but what are your thoughts on two subjects:

    1. Opening a TBR sports cafe...HS themed with pics of players and coaches and for Coach Pope (autograph framed picture of his favorite umpire). It would be geared more for families

    2. local TBR radio...came close to getting this one off the ground a couple of years ago

Need to put that new radio station on Sirius so us folks here in the mountains can receive it too. Maybe you'll get a Stern deal?

With all that (impressive) Rep Power, Braves, you probably won't require a separate power source to transmit the radio signal. You can simply tilt your head in the direction of the nearest satellite and project the beam!

You know Braves, those are two great ideas. I know a guy who can give you some health insurance for your employees at a great price!!!!!

You could defiantly bring in some profit with this.

I hope your cafe will serve more than coffee and a bagel, I have a lot to fill and it will take a good amount of food to do it. But I would be a regular visitor either way.

Not sure how serious you are about the sports cafe idea, Braves. Al Dahlgren - long-time Babe Ruth coach/commissioner in Charlotte and part owner of the HQ4Baseball training facility - has had a similar restaurant up and running in south Charlotte for a couple years. "Coach Al's Place" is geared to the families and teams of the nearby recreational sports associations. It's got a nice family atmosphere with lots of local photos (mostly rec. league youngsters) on the walls. Best of all - the burgers are the best!

I'm sure Al could tell you a lot about what's been successful and what hasn't.

I was told a few weeks ago when I stopped in that Al had sold the restaurant.

I hope that's not the case. I've known Al for a long time and I have heard good things about his place...but restaurant business is a tough business. I should know, it was my life for 25 years.

I don't know about the restaurant idea, would you have to rely on your fishing "skills" to supply food to serve?:satana:

BTW... You couldn't sell your "whoppers" I believe that name has been taken by a chain.

If you need insurance I have your hook-up (PERSONROCKETDAD), he's still looking to sell that "million dollar policy" for January, or so he told me last week.:lach:

Seriously, if enough of us are in Charlotte for the NCBCA Clinic, well maybe we can create an informal cafe of our own and catch up on good baseball talk.
