Is it all sports that get this type treatment or just baseball.....just trying to see if the other coaches stand up for their sport?

She only hates baseball. The other sports get what they need. And yes, she is a control freak - that's why the coaches don't stand up to her. The parents try to get things done for the kids, but she fights EVERYTHING! There are some small changes going on for the better, but mostly baseball is pushed aside as not important by her.

You may have already tried this, but if it indeed has been run up the flag pole with her, then go to the next level. Appear in mass at the next school board meeting.

She hates softball too. No one has been allowed to be on the softball field for years either. There is alot of talented kids in both baseball and softball at this school and they are not looked after or appericated for all the years of hard work that they have put in. I hate to see the there dreams tossed to the side for POWER!!!!!!

That is the bad thing about high school sports. Most people who teach and especially the ones in administration never played sports much, if at all. They really don't put enough emphasis on sports and that is sad. It seems that the women are even worse. SC used to have a women for a principle and she was just like what you have at FTF. She would get on the students at basketball games when the other team missed a shot and the students started the "air ball" chant. there is not near enough priority given to athletics in school. There is as much learned on the ball fields and courts that benefit kids in their future as there is in the classroom

I would contact the school board and remind them that it is an election year!!!!!:banginghe If that doesn't work, you can contact me at [email protected], and we will see what it would take to get the kids up at Hibriten in Lenoir,:trophy: :satana: .

    Anti-Athletics Principals

A principal like that can do irreparable damage to your program. Back in the late 80s to early 90s, Lumberton got a famale principal that truly hated the sports programs. Up until that time, the Pirates had been a pretty formidable football school. She promptly ran off a great football coach (Russell Stone, formerly of West Forsyth) by being difficult about every little thing. The rest is miserable history as the principal is long gone but the football has never recovered. We have currently won one game in the last three years. The kids lost interest and found other sports to play. The community lost interest and never insisted that things change. I would encourage you to be very vocal about the wrong this principal is doing the kids.

NO WAY, could it be an insurance thing. Middle age men are allowed to hold pick-up basketball games sometimes twice a week at night in the gym with principals blessing, oops, hope her boss does not read TBR. Keep the pot stirred tiger faithful.
