The ACC and SAC are each holding their Conference Tourneys in the Western and Central Piedmont of NC this year. The ACC will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Mar 2-5th and the SAC will be held at Catawba Valley CC the same dates.

This is a real chance for kids to see the different levels of women's college basketball and where they could fit in. I would encourage everyone to get out and support these tourneys. Take your kids. Let them see their dreams can become reality if they put in the hard work.

Great point. If you think your daughter should be playing college ball, you need to get out to CVCC next week and see a game or two. I suspect that most parents have not seen girls college except on tv. I further suspect that most parents have no concept of how good these small colleges are.
Go watch Wingate, or Presbyterian , or Mars Hill, and then think if your girl can make an impact on that game.

Just as a side note, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (NAIA Div-II) is having its conference tournament at King College in Bristol, TN beginning Wednesday. Someone mentioned small schools, these fit well into that catagory and there are many talented and skilled players at these lesser known schools (several former NW4A players); again another opportunity for the up and comers to allow their athletic abilities help in their academic pursuits by not overlooking these low profile schools. NCAA D-I gets all the attention, but the D-II, D-III and NAIA are also worthy of consideration and have a lot of competition.
