Made a phone call to a FHS Parent who said FHS had the ball down 1 and down 3 in the last minute and couldn't get a bucket. Said Ford rimmed out everything first half then scored alot second half.
That's all I know so far.

Someone told me that they heard Coach Silver say on the radio that Kurie was questionable for wednesdays game at south meck. Anyone else here anything about this.

I hope not...I wanna see a South Caldwell vs. McDowell rematch in the sectional finals.

I know you can't go on scores but....Freedom hung with Butler, who had just beaten South Meck. I really do think the toughness of the NW4-A will help out the teams in the tourny.

I don't know if you guys could see, but from across the way Wednesday, it was obvious that Kurie was in a lot of pain. She was clutching her midsection/chest area throughout the game, especially near the end.

I don't know how Butler beat South Meck, but I do know that Kurie will have to play, Ebonique and Lea will have to play big, everybody else will have to play well, and limit the turnovers for McDowell to have a chance. They can't allow bunches of offensive rebounds, and they need to take good shots. Some South Meck foul trouble would be nice. I think this would be a monumental upset, but the Lady Titans have done similar things!:satana:

i don't think it would be a monumental upset... athletically and as individuals, i think south meck is definitely incredible... the x-factor in my mind is solid coaching fundamentals and discipline... that is what mcdowell has in favor of them... unfortunately, coming off the loss to butler, i can't see south meck not showing up to play this time, but i don't think they are as well coached...

did you see the quote from cheek in the observer (not talking about mcdowell, but the whole state tournament)...

"I mean, we could lose, but I don't think it will happen."

lots of confidence and desire in her, but one player can't do it all...

i think it is a long shot, but if south had to beat all 3 nw4a teams that are left in order to get to the finals, i bet one of them could knock them off (if they brought their A game)

good luck to mcdowell... i'm a believer, but kurie must play, and mcdowell must play well... too bad ya'll don't get this one at home in the titan dome...
