I totally agree falconmom. My daughter catches for us and she said that the corners were non-existant for the majority of the games. I know the umps are probably as rusty if not more than the girls but a little consistancy would be nice. We even had an ump call a strike/ball in a game, that's exactly how he said it at which point we and a couple of the parents from the other team got a good chuckle. We will be at North next weekend, don't know game times yet but we play Mount Tabor, North Davidson, and East Rowan. Good luck to you guys, have heard a lot of great things about your daughter.

Not something that cant be hit,but if either of the two we saw got ahead in the count you got nothing to hit at all. Both were good.

What has happened to West Forysth? Did they not try to develop any talent? I feel for BM, she could be in for a long year.

What about Reagan? I thought that Ray C was the master motivator and he seemed to be whipped at every turn yesterday. Heck he even refused to take the field against Central Cabarrus.

retireman, since we all know where your loyalties lie i won't cut you any slack! you of all people ought to know it will take all of the coaches that was involved with the split to build or rebuild their teams and in ray's situation his program. all of those schools will be spread thin. so lay off and bask in your own glories!! i seem to appreciate a coach that takes a backseat to their credits to promote the talents of his or her players. now, play ball.:imagestor

So do you promote talent by not taking the field? It seems to be that is not what a coach should be teaching. I believe Hopewell won it all in their first year.

    Scrimmages

Correct me if I am wrong I thought those were scrimmages at Forbush this weekend. How can one keep scores when you play by a time limit and not a total of innings like a high school game will be. Just a thought alot of coaches do alot of mixing and matching to see what combinations they can use. It is true alot of good players that are talented are already known. It's the talents that are unknown that makes a scrimmage so effective. I saw one coach at Kings Mountain load the bases with no outs to see what her team could do. Now that's a learning process.Of coarse I've learned that this tool called the internet is all about what someone can or cannot do.I guess alot of you have been stretching those fingers in preparation to start typing. There will be some (games) this week where the scores count in the west and the east. Then the next week for sure ,but for now IT's just a scrimmage.:lalala: :lalala: :agreed:

i believe hopewell was endowed with a group of girls that had played ball together for years so that is alot different. the reason for what ray does or does not do will probably not be discussed here, just like it shouldn't have been brought up....class!
    great post sportsbuff:ylsuper:

I guess everyone has their own agenda or reason for posting on here.Too bad it is not always about what is best for the girls that play the game. To me the game belongs to them.
