Alex Wood got the start for the Panthers who scored eight runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back. Richie Schafer homered for the second time in as many games.

3/3 JV Game - Myers Park over Hopewell

    Myers Park-6 -- Hopewell-5

This was an exciting game, and one that was decided in the 7th inning. Hopewell led most of the game, but had several miscues and errors in the 7th that resulted in Myers Park taking home the victory.

All of the four pitchers used in the game threw well. Robert Balsley started the game for the Mustangs and threw five good innings, getting the win. Chris Overman, relief pitcher for Myers Park threw very well and received the save. Scott Weynand started the game for Hopewell and threw well thru 4-1/3 innings, giving up 3 hits and one earned run. Rusty White, relief pitcher for the Titans, pitched 2-2/3 innings, giving up 2 hits and no earned runs, and took the loss for Hopewell.

    Leading Titans Hitters: Jack Lane - 3/3; Jon Fisher - 2/4; Scott Weynand - 2/4, Rusty White - 2/4.

The two teams face each other again on March 20th - should be a great game.

re: Redbird Fan ...S Meck vs Hopewell

The pitcher for South Meck is Joseph Shealy, good arm, good speed and locates well.
