    South Caldwell vs Ashbrook is off for today.

    So atleast for today, we can sit inside and see if Tony is really dead on 24 or surf the net (www.caldwellbaseball.com maybe :) ).

    Thrailkill had a perfect game going into the 7th inning and NB scores the winning run on a throwing error. Outstanding effort by Mundy for NB.

    Sam Runion tosses a no-hitter for the #1 ranked Rockets, striking out 17 of the 18 batters he faced. Blaine Howell tossed a no-hitter last Friday against Alexander Central (Won 15-0), to give the Rocket pitching staff back-to-back no hitters. The Rockets move to 7-0 on the season, outscoring their opponents 75-8.

    Great game at ER tonight. Kings Mountain led 3-2 going into the bottom of the 7th after Ryan Leach's solo HR in the 6th, when Robbie Pruett (SR) singled with one out, then Blake Wood (SR) hit a game-winning walk-off 2-run shot to give the Cavs their 8th straight win and a share of first place in the 2A/3A Southwestern Conference. Leach pitched well, with 6 K's and no BB, plus the HR for KM. He was 87-90 early on the radar.
