I'd read some stuff when I first heard of the website (back in July) and had a brain fart earlier that it was sarcasm.

    Watauga High and dugout heaters

Heaters in dugouts can be a common occurence at Watauga High School. A couple weeks ago against Freedom the game time temp was in the mid 30's, and by the end of the game was 28 degrees. Of course WHS is also the home of "The Pete Hardee Signature Series Snow Shovels".

Not only does WHS use heaters in our dugouts but we pull out the full barage of warmthness.

We are the only high school I have been to that allowes our students to grill there own burgers and hot dogs beyond the outfield fence in center. Our students do they best job of cookin and tailgating in the state. The students also uses the fire to stay warm.

Coach Hardee is also fond of using his boys PE classes to shovel the field with him.
