Week 5 is really the first week where the conference season starts to heat up. What are the big games to watch for. The impact players. And what are there results?

    South Caldwell vs AC Reynolds

This game is going to be huge. They are top two 4A teams in the state and are full of big-time players. The game is this Friday, March 31 @ 6:30, in Asheville. Anyone who can make the trip, needs to. I would say that Madison Bumgarner will be on the mound for SC, and in my estimation he is the top player in the state. And he's only a Junior. Matt Gragg is another really good pitcher on their team, he is one of the top pitchers in the state. They have many other good players also. They also can really hit and field the baseball. AC Reynolds also has two very good pitchers and they can really hit the baseball aswell. A lot of talent will be displayed in this one. This game should be very interesting! I can't wait.

    Fred T Foard 17 Bunker Hill 3

Foard's 14 hit attack was led by Brian Dice (3-4 - HR) and Trent Rothlin (3-5). Bunker Hill pitching contributed 9 walks. Ben Lilly pitched 5 innings for the Tigers while Andrew Wyant pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief.

Foard quickly jumped to a 10-0 lead but appeared to let down a bit. The Bears cut the lead to 10-3 before the Tigers errupted for 7 runs in the top of the seventh.

Next up for Foard (8-2, 5-1) will be at home against Bandys on Wednesday.
