Yeah, you gotta come to The New Freedom Park to face a great team and a very hostile crowd....Just ask Reynolds and South Caldwell how tough it is to play us at home.

"GET OUR BUTTS KICKED AT AC!..................................DONE!!!"
And to think we at Freedom haven't any class. Losing 7-0 to a good Alexander Central team is bad enough, don't you think? If you can lose with class, win with some too.

    $5.00

Seems that I may be one of the few people who paid $5.00 to see the ballgame that took place at AC on Tuesday night. I hate that most of you missed a great game played by 2 outstanding softball programs because you chose to sit and watch the other teams fans. Sorry to inform everyone (from both sides) but fans are a part of the game. Yes some are not as loud as others & some may be very irritating at times but they have as much the right to be there & support their team as you & I. Was anything said toward any of the players? That I wouldnt know because I was focused on the game, after all that is the reason we were all there isnt it? Do we expect the Tar Heel & Bluedevil fans to be zombies as these 2 fine programs go head to head? I dont think so, we come to expect it, conference rival & all. That is the same thing we have here a conference rivalry, & it will continue to get better on the field where the game is played. As far as the stick it in her ribs comment, again I was focused on the game & from where I was sitting you could clearly see the catcher set up inside then jump to the outside right before the pitch, outside instead of inside resulted in a hard base hit by the batter. The coach then questioned his catcher as to why the pitch was out instead of in, answer (from what i could hear) was the batter was crowding the plate and she couldnt go far inside, to which the coach responded. (again my understanding) (not for sure) that if the batter was crowding the plate to stick the mit in her ribs meaning set up inside for an inside pitch. After all he was talking to the catcher, not the pitcher. Besides top of the 2nd inning down 3-0, ahead in the count why put another runner on base?:twocents: :blah: :blah: :blah:

it was not the 2n inn and she (batter) had 2 strikes on her! you have a chose come inside and she will turn on it(ask the n. iredell pitcher) or go outside and look out!

YOU must have been pretty close to the dugout!- Fox yelled at his catcher when she went against his pitch location! He said "if she's on the plate get it under her ribs" He knows that Johnson is one of the best hitters in the leauge and knows where to throw to her. He got her out throwing inside 3 times.

Ask Coach Bolick and Kayla what Coach Fox said about her- and how he made sure he apologized during and after the game.

So you fans that think you know what's going on and probably question your Coach on every move need to sit there and watch a very good ball team play and not start things you have no idea about.

Good game by both teams- AC is just better right now- but Freedom is still 11-2 and in 2nd place in the conference.

As for the pitcher not throwing hard enough- she's a freshman!

FHS1st and 9, You must really be proud of yourself, Duke and carolina have been battling for years back and forth. Dont think freedom, AC is a rivalry just yet, freedom will need to win the conf. a few times first. Oh yea, dont remember Coach K yelling at his players to kick em while there down. Ha

Plan and simple Coach Fox did say stick it in her ribs. Guys Freedom is not that good. I don't know how they beat Reynolds and South Caldwell. Both those teams are much better and have better pitching. I heard SC is having some internal problems with the new coach and players not meshing real well so that is really hurting them. I've also heard that Reynolds is having a few problems too. I know more about SC than Reynolds and they are to talented to be losing to the teams they are losing to. If they get things straightened out they could be dangerous in the second half of the season and we still have to play them twice. Even with their record they worry me more than any other team in the conference.

Freedom isnt that good? Dude, You're smoking some sort of weed that's altered your brain.

Freedom has far surpassed what they used to be and that was a team of futility. Four years ago, They couldnt win in conference and now they're winning and surprising alot. In the wins over Reynolds and South Caldwell, they were down 2-0 to South Caldwell and 3-0 to Reynolds, but found a way to come back and win. Defensively, they're like a vacuum. Offensively, they read, recognize, and hit well. They're not on the level of Alexander Central, but they're better than what they were.

Maybe the loss to Central was what the team needed to focus. And every dog has their day, and Freedom's day may be April 28 when they come to The New Freedom Park. But go ahead, talk how good and wonderful Central is because on that day or sooner, those Cougars may be knocked down to reality.

Freedom was NEVER down to Reynolds dear sir. Freedom jumped AHEAD 3-0 after the first inning. Reynolds got back to 3-2 after Giers near home run double drove in two runs to the gap to right center to make it Freedom 3,Reynolds 2. Reynolds tied the score when Gier singled and scored their third run two innings later. At 3-3,Freedom went ahead again 5-3 until the top of the seventh when Gier hit the MONSTER two run home run over the scoreboard to tie AGAIN 5-5. Then Freedom scored in the bottom of the seventh to win the game. Freedom was NEVER behind in that game. Who's been smokin the wacko weed?????:thud:
