I also realize this isn't Yankee's poll,,, I enjoy chunking rocks at the Observer every now and then. As for West Rowan's overall record, they've lost 4 (I believe), but that includes losses to Piedmont (King), CPC 4A leaders East Rowan and Davie, and one slipup. They are clearly deserving a ranking if NW Cabarrus is,,,, West spanked the Trojans 12-1 just last Tuesday.

And I agree with whoever said South Caldwell could be the #1 team right now, but the Observer putting West Stanly at #1 is deserving also. Dem Colts are playing super, don't let their 2A classification fool you, just ask Charlotte Christian.....:ylsuper:

Ok guys lets put some REAL polls down now...

    COME ON

South Caldwell should def. be in the #1 spot, they shut out the #1 team in the state and conference in the 4a class. how do u justify that they dont get the #1 spot......its a load of crap if u ask me!!!!:77321_bs:

    1. South Caldwell, 11-0 (2)
    2. North Forsyth, 15-0 (4)
    3. Scotland County, 11-1 (5)
    4. AC Reynolds, 10-1 (1)
    5. Providence, 11-1 (3)
    6. Broughton, 8-0 (NR)
    7. Riverside, 10-1 (7)
    8. Pinecrest, 9-2 (NR)
    9. West Forsyth, 10-3 (6)
    10. Hopewell, 9-2 (NR)
Dropped Out: JH Rose (8-3), Independence (10-2), Cape Fear (9-1)

oh how one would love to see a south caldwell vs. charlotte christian matchup, an intriguing matchup b/t 2 of the most talented teams in the state...but wait, i see that both teams are in the shelby easter tournament, how convenient, what a game that could be :ylsuper: :ylsuper: :ylsuper:

Tj21 you've got a valid point about West Stanly's quality wins vs. Charlotte Christian and Northwest Cabarrus. It certainly a matter of opinion and makes for great discussions.

I think the madras shorts and bip crowd from Country Club School would be in for a rude awakening. The boys from SC come to play. They have that missing ingredient, that begins on the practice field and extends through the last inning through the parents and out into the community, to BRING it. CCS has yet to show any fire in the belly this season and are muddling along. In a game against a team like SC, if they make it that far in Shelby, they will struggle.

I don't have a dog in this fight...but I've seen both teams play. If this game happens I think people will be in for a great ball game.

Be careful...as they say "let sleeping dogs lie". I wouldn't add fuel to the flame, CCS does not need a lot of addittional motivation to play well and get up for a "Big Game". CCS has a pretty solid team top to bottom. If this game happens and the SC boys go into this game thinking they already have it won they could get a little surprise of their own.:twocents:
