    Independence 11-1 over Butler...
Started out good for Butler with Derek Blanton leading off the 1st with a home run off Robbie Bray but after that it was all Independence!
    Bray pitched a great game!!
I will say, not taking away from Independence who played and hit the ball hard, the ump behind the plate, was the worst I've seen all year!

the knights shallacked a previously 10-1 wesleyan team tonight, wesleyan's starter was pretty good, he threw mig 80's, with a deuce and a change up, the knights figured him out though after the first couple innings and never looked back. this marks a 10 game winning streak for the knights but it doesn't get any easier on thursday when one of SC's top 4A teams comes to town in Hillcrest HS; it should be a great game between 2 talented teams, ccs won the previous matchup 4-2 at hillcrest

    Hitting:
    J. Bard 2-4, HR
    M. Fulginiti 3-4
    T. Kirkpatrick 2-4, 4 rbi
    G. Fronk 2-4, 2 rbi
    A. Hill 2-4

    Christian: 17-5
    Wesleyan: 10-2

    South Meck over East Meck

    South Meck - 10
    East Meck - 0

    WP - Matt Andress
    LP - Justin Schumer

I missed the game and will post the stats later....I do know Matt Andress pitched a great game only throwing like 56 pitches in 6 inninngs. Looks like South hit the ball well scoring 10 runs.

South Meck matches up again Thursday against Providence at home which hopes to be a great game....both teams have been on a roll. South Mecks last loss (and only conference loss was the first Providence game).

    Hitting
SM - Ryan Morris went 3 for 3 with 2RBI
SM - TJ Freeman went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI
SM - Doug Jones went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI

Sophomore Andrew Wyant pitched 6 innings of 2 hit ball with 4 K's to lead the Tigers over the visiting Red Devils. Wyant also was 2-3 at the plate in helping his own cause. Brian Dice led Foard by going 3-3 with Justin Wharton and Trent Rothlin each getting two hits.

The Tigers (13-2, 9-1) next game will be a rematch on the road against Hickory on Thursday.

    Purnell Swett 6 Lumberton 1

    WP - Thorne Locklear (1-4)
    LP - Tre Britt (2-5)

Huge loss for Lumberton in a big rivalry game. Lumberton has lost two players to school problems and are desperately thin in the outfield. Three misplayed fly balls opened the door for Swett and they took advantage with some big hits. This Lumberton team looks ready to fold up the tent. Lumberton now drops two games behind South View and Cape Fear.
