    How many sectional championships-regional championships-state championships did Bliss have in those 10 years at East Burke? He is a pretty smart guy - he knows he has no chance of winning anything big at East Burke so he moves down to the 2A/3A where they may be a slight chance of winning more big games and of course his overall record will be better playing teams from WNC.

    What an completely idiotic statement. There are alot of good teams in WNC in 2A, I think that was shown because West Henderson, Shelby, Pisgah, Brevard, West Caldwell were some tough teams to beat in any classification. A good team is a good team, regardless of classification, and can win anywhere against anybody.

    I AM A LITTLE MIXED UP HERE. DID THE COACH FROM MCDOWELL QUIT OR NOT??? I THOUGHT I SAW A THREAD THAT SAID HE DID, BUT NOW ITS GONE. I MAY HAVE DREAMED IT, I HAVE TO CATCH UP ON MY SLEEP!!

    sorry for the confusion...Coach Church dismissed all the rumors of his resignation in the friday McDowell News. I deleted the thread because first off the rumors ended up being wrong and second the thread was heading in the direction of being a flame war. Obviously by reading the comments on this thread, some people are not done with their rant.

    If you read my original post on this thread....I already established that Coach Bliss, IMHO, is a great coach and a great person. Although, he's quite charasmatic, he's got more class than Church.
