As the assistant Varisty Coach at CCHS, I can honestly say that the SOLE purpose for filming our games is TO EVALUATE OUR PLAYERS..PERIOD!!!!
Do we try to pick up signs from the dugout, YES! Does the teams that we play, YES! And also to back up what JV Viking said, he is 100% correct.

 

To clarify, the word "yell" was nowhere in my response! I do not yell anything at our players at any point in the game, regardless of what I have figured out from the opposing dugout.

Also, to echo the comments from C. Cobra Coach, we film our team and our team only. We are only interested in how to make our team better by picking up on flaws during a game and correcting them in practice.

The only person yelling at their players during the game was Hopewells coach when he figured out our rise ball signal. We knew he had picked up the sign because he continued to yell "rip it" from the 3rd base coaches box to his batters every time the pitch was called.

I back Central 100%... I also know that all filming is to help Central players get better... As a former coach for last 2 years... I have sit in and broke down film.... I think this is 100% Hopewell BS... If this was about Hopewell or Butler it would have been locked 24 hours a go...

Why does Hopewell always complain about everything but why they really lost the game? Face the facts, you got beat and it wasn't even close. Why not focus on building your own team rather than nit-pick all the others........

 

filming players and games are so common and used in all sports to evaluate players.
