hope to be in that Johnston county area at the end of April again and catch these two in person. please keep us (me) posted on their Easter games..Miss Addie!!

3:00 pm Game
West Johnston defeated North Brunswick 6-1.

5:00 pm Game
East Gaston was winning over West Burnswick (JV) and storm came up. Not sure of score. WB JV's filled in for South Johnston. They decided not to participate since the sudden death of Headcoach, Gary Blackmon 2 weeks ago. Great loss to the softball community east of Raleigh.

 

Hey Addie D, how bout an update on the beach tour.WJ still hanging tough?Bet the weather is great.Eat a couple lbs of crablegs for me!

Hate South Johnston didn't make the trip, but given the circumstances I understand why.
Bishop Ireton 5 East Gaston 4
East Gaston 13 Whiteville 6
Cameron Sealey HR (Grand Slam)
East Gaston all over Whiteville early and often in this one.
East Gaston finished in 3rd place.
Melissa Edge and Michelle Primm made the All Tournament team from EG.
EastofRaleigh, how did last nights game go? What girls from West and Bishop made all tournament? I'm sure Davenport, shes tuff!!

 

Beach Results

West Johnston defeated Whiteville on Tuesday night (5-4). Kelsey pitched a good game. We had a slow start, but hung in there. I think we enjoyed the beach to much that day. Great hitting by Jennifer Kisner brought in the winning run.This took us to the championship game.

Championship team was against Bishop Iron Cardinals from Alexanderia, Va. They were a very worthy opponet. We went 10 inning and won in bottom of 10th.

This game was a nail biter. Both teams had great pitching and bats.

Amanda pitched all 10 inning giving up 1 earned run and 2 on errors. She had 7K's and gave up 4 hits.
Great hitting by the girls on both teams.
Kelsey parked one out in the bottom of the 10th with a runner on ending the game with a 5-3 win.

These girls also made the All-Tournament Team.

This was a great touranment and look forward to going back next year.
