    Kannapolis Intimidator Classic (championship)

    Great coverage this week by Boxman and Coach Mike!!!! They are both true scholars and gentlemen!!!!!!!!

    THE CHAMPIONSHIP: NW Cabarrus will send the winner of last year's 6-1 Intimidator championship victory over Providence, Robby Gurley to the hill for to try for a repeat. North Meck will counter with lefty Pat Sherrill. Gurley and Sherrill, as well as NWC's Andrew Lawing and Drew Fenney and North Meck's Zack Pau and Rob Proffit all played showcase ball together last year for The Fungo Red Sox so this match-up should be interesting.

    ps - CONGRATS TO ALBEMARLE!!! They surprised a lot of people this week and had an excellent tournament run!!

    NO CHAMPIONSHIP????

    I just talked with the Intimidator office..............the championship game has been rained out today and they're thinking of not making it up.......just having "co-champions".

    I sure hope that's not true.:thud:

    Due to weather the championship game has been canceled.Both Northwest and North Meck will share the championship.

    Yep, NORTH MECK and NW CABARRUS.
    What a major disappointment.

    The way I understand it, the field didn't get covered last night (probably some North Meck fans were responsible:rotflmao:..........hee-hee, just kidding NorthMeckFan). Anyway, the Vikings have 3 conference games next week so that puts an anti-climatic end to things.

    What a drag.

    Guess we can all go over to Davidson to see if Tom Porter pitches for Elon today.

    Good luck to North Meck the rest of the year.......

    Yes, a BIG dissapointment. Would have been a battle between players and friends alike, seeing how many of the young men have played together in the past (Fungo, Copperheads etc.) A shame game wasn't moved to a local high school if conditions permitted.

    That's OK Coach Mike. Hopefully NorthMeckFan, tj21 and I will see you and Boxman in the state playoffs. :trophy:
