    can anyone give me any news about how they think post 501's legion team will do this year

    I think if they come loaded with NWC players and few K-town players they could contend for a State Championship...

    A lot of their success depends on whether Coach Gantt and Coach Pollard allow Blake Ketner and Garrett Sherrill to pitch this summer. Sounds like both pitched a lot of innings this season, so it will be interesting to see what they decide.

    Budman, both Blake and Garrett are coming back to Post 501 this summer. Its already been discussed and the Kannapolis coaches would NOT do anything to hurt either of those young men, we realize they both are the "property" of their respective colleges and we want to see them have a long prosperous college career. We are simply tickled to just have them both in our dugout with their buddies for one last summer of legion ball.

    I will post the schedule soon, but I can tell you the first game is scheduled for May 20 at home.

    i'm surprised at gantt.. he has always been the one to keep a player from competing against his teams...
    kinda sorta ...

    Thats good though for 501.... i want to get out there and see some games...

    Coach Gantt knows the Kannapolis legion folks will take care of Blake. Obviously if the situation was different Gantt would probably rather have Blake pitching in some wooden bat league somewhere,,,, but because Gantt is so heavily involved in legion ball, he knows firsthand how big legion ball in this area is, and he's ok with Blake playing his final year with 501. Gantt's ok with it.

    Intimidator,,,, saw your son the other day,,, he just keeps growing and GROWING... Wished him well at BA...

    he's in the SCBL at Davidson again this summer..
    come on over and watch a game sometime...
