    Fred T Foard 5 Hibriten 1

Brian Dice hit a three run homer in the top of the 7th to break a 1-1 tie and Trent Rothlin dominated on the hill again to lead the Tigers. Rothlin only allowed 3 hits, a walk, and two HBP while striking out 15 Hibriten batters.

The Tigers took a page out of the Oakland A's playbook by twice forsaking sacrifice bunt opportunities late in a tie game and played for a big inning. Dice came through with his bomb to left center field and made the strategy payoff. Dice earlier added a single while Trent Rothlin was 2-3. Jason Sprouse knocked in the first run with a double. The Tigers had 10 hits, but couldn't seem to string anything together.

Foard (17-3, 11-1) next plays West Caldwell at home on Wednesday. night.

Drove up for this game. Got there in the 3rd when it was 3-2 Riverside. First comment: Randleman has the most unique home field Ive ever seen. The centerfielder for Riverside made a catch running backwards up the hill falling backwards. Haven't seen many like it.

Morman and Osborne did nice work behind the plate for the two teams. Riverside's defense still seems a little spotty. Randleman didn't seem to play the game their capable of. That kid Issacs on Randleman seems like a real gamer. Both will have to play better D to make playoff runs.
