Shaffer his a HR early and scored on a single late in the game for Indy. Solidly played on both sides. Watching the game, I can't help but wonder why Butler's record isn't better than it is. Solid ballclub.

If you like good baseball, then this was the game to watch. A great pitcher's duel by two of the best in the area.

Shane Small started out a little shaky with his control (I wonder if he loosens up enough?) then got in the groove and that was it. Don't know the total of K's, but I believe he got stronger as the game moved on. Again, maybe he doesn't loosen up enough before the game. I know that he had at least 5 K's in the last three innings.

Bjorstrom pitched well also. The first inning, Providence was hitting the ball very hard, but all the shots found someones glove. Bjorstrom settled down after the first and put everything in cruise control until the 6th. He also (I think) got stronger the later in the game he went. The only mistake he made, was a hanger that Shaffer took deep to left center field.

Holcomb came through in the bottom of the sixth with a base hit (two outs and a runner at second) to seal the deal.

Great night for baseball with both teams (families) knowing each other very well.:ylsuper:

    WP: Jared Bard (perfect game)

bard pitched a perfect game, no hitter on saturday vs. latin, as the knights offensively were led by a 3 run HR by kurt fulginiti in the 12-0 win. christian will play a strong providence day squad this week in a 3 game series, these games can get heated as the 2 teams dont like each other very much, PD always comes to play so come out and watch

    CC: 24-5 (3-0)
    CL: 8-11-1 (0-3)

Things got even tighter last night after West Forsyth knocked off East Rowan in 8 innings in Clemmons. In the top of the 8th Ross Steedly hit a bomb to center to put the Mustangs up one run. In the bottom of the 8th John Stamper lead off with a double a walk to Greg Holt then a double to left by Tyler Manring tied the game up. The Titans added two more walks and the game was over. What an exciting four innings of play.

The race is on with one week left should be a great week of baseball.

West Forsyth vs. Davie on Tuesday. (Davie has a 14 game win streak)
East Rowan vs. South Rowan on Tuesday.
Mt. Tabor vs. RJ Ryenolds on Tuesday.

North Davidson vs. West Forsyth on Thurs.

Davie vs. East Rowan on Friday.

What a great way to end the season. Everybody said this conference was one the best in the state before the season started and I think it has lived up to that throughout the season.

    East Rowan 8-2
    Davie County 8-2
    West Forsyth 8-2

they are young and talented, but from what I hear from folks without an ax to grind, the coaching staff isn't that good

I don't have alot of details other than Catlin Carter started and got the win and is now 5-0 on the season.

Ragsdale is now 20-1 on the season and 9-1 in conference. Next up is Randleman Tuesday night in Jamestown. Senior night for Ragsdale - Mullins will be going for win #11 and Ragsdale will be looking to beat the only team to knock them off this season. First place is on the line since Randleman has only lost two games in conference - both to E Randolph.

    Should be a helluva game.

Lumberton 1 Pine Forest 0 in 10 innings

Truly a great baseball game as neither team gave an inch. Lumberton's two lefties allowed only four hits. Tre Britt went 8 innings of three hit ball and Mac Read threw the last two to get the win. Lumberton finally broke threw in the top of the tenth with back to back doubles by Zack Pittman and Jamie Jackson.
