Davie wins 2-1

Davie won the key matchup tonight 2-1. Davie scored their 2 runs in the 3rd with 2 2 out walks and a throwing error on the second baseman. West scored its lone run in the 4th with a solo homerun. Classic game but after the game little bewildered at the behavior by some of the players...One player the shortstop for davie was yelling something at the west players...dont know but hope it wasnt anything negative....Well good job war ealges and tuff lose titans......Key one in Granite QUarrey friday...East Rowan vs. Davie....anyone know score of east south game heard south was winning at the game!!!!

 

RJR beat Mt. Tabor 2 times today.

first game 7-6 (W-Anthony, L- Batts)

second game 6-1 (W- Beard, L-Stuart)

was a homerun fest tonite

 

Davie's shortstop didnt say anything. West had poor sportsmanship the entire game and was beaten by a Davie team that didnt play at their best or throw their ace. West vandalized a Davie player's car after the loss, along with their coach saying Merry Christmas after always getting the utmost respect from Coach Herndon after every Davie loss these past years.

In the rivalry between Davie and West, west is showing their a** and whoever on the team who vandalized the car will be penalized to the fullest extent, a report has already been filed. It's very dissapointing in the lack of class West has.

Play nice guys...a heated close game can unleash competitive juices. Let's don't single out players

Be thankful that you have heated rivalries...most games in Charlotte are a "lovefest". Man, what you guys described is nothing compared to the old Providence vs South Meck games...where everybody from parents, players, coaches, grandparents, school administrators, students and family dogs hated each other..and were not shy to let you know their feelings.

I used to love following the Watauga vs Alex Cent games with Payne, Greene, Nigron and co. squaring off. Who will ever forget their playoff game of a few years ago...well...perhaps Coach Hardee would wish I would forget about it But I love heated rivalries...nothing else like it

and yes i am biased.. you dont do that whether you win or lose.

 

I'll say it, even if it earns me a few bullets: I've rubbed shoulders with alot of high schools over the past decade...but my experience makes me believe Davie's side...except for the part about Coach Pope. I've always found him to be a Good Sport. Yep, he hates to lose, but I've never seen him disrespect an opponent.

 

I agree with you about that DC. I hope they catch the individual(s) and prosecute. I was referring to the player and the talking

 

The game last night was a so intense. It is the first time I know since before the seniors came to high school that Davie has beat West. The fan for West were so rude. Talking all kinds of trash about our players. The first time Davie played West this year some of their players came a vandalized our field. I think they have not been taught any respect and I hate that for West, they are making the whole school look bad. I think Davie has one of the best, most respectful group of Young men they have had in a long time. Good luck to the whole team Friday night. Go win the conference like I know ya'll can.
