so what teams are in contention for the wild card in the west, for 3A? can you list their records? this should be interesting! I saw one board that had most the 4A's listed. There is also one conference that seems to be split, half 4a/3a, how does that work? depending on school size do they play in both?! i mean if a 4a school wins they go to 4a? or vice versa? can someone explain that? thanks!!!

    3a/4a

we have a split conference, so, we have a 3a winner and a 4a winner. the team with the best record after that is eligible for either a 3a wildcard or a 4a wildcard. seven teams in our conference.

The teams in contention for the wild cards appear to be RS Central 16-5?, Porter Ridge 15-7, Catholic 19-5, and Anson County15-6?. Anson plays Piedmont tomorrow in the South Piedmont tournament final and Catholic plays Olympic tonight in the Queen City 3a 4a final.

The Queen City 3a 4a conference has a 3a bid and a 4a bid. Olympic will be the 3a rep and West Meck will be the 4a. Catholic is the only team left with a shot at a wild card from that conference.

see that is what is screwed up with just basing it on record alone. 4 of our (southeast guilford) 5 losses are to teams in the playoffs as well (southwest randolph (twice), randleman and southern alamance) once we beat randleman by the slaughter rule 16-5 after 6 innings, and southern alamance was by 1.

    3A West Wildcard

It looks like the two wildcards from the west will be southeast guilford and charlotte catholic. If this is true, I wonder which one will go to Enka and which will go to Kings Mountain. They said they would place them geographically?
