Final in 9 innings. Congratulations on a great season to all the seniors, Jordan Edwards, Daniel Sedberry, Rob Lyerly, and especially Dustin Belk who pitched a great game and definately left everything he had on the field. Both teams played a hard fought game. Good luck to the Cowboys.

Not a sore fan because I didn't expect for us to win tonight, and your team is great...one impressive group of ballplayers.

I saw what I saw, and I did see #10 do that, but I did hear what they were saying to him. #10 has had issues with guys getting to him this year and I personally don't agree with it but tonight those guys were brutal. He was balking for the first 4 innings, and if you didn't see it then you're blind. It was nice hearing them call Brandon Reeves, who played his heart out, a "midget" while he was pitching. Troy Lanham had to go talk to him because he was getting so worked up at the things they were saying. I've played baseball all my life and talked a lot of junk and also hear a lot of junk being talked, but never have I heard that. I also heard when they had that huge inning some fans on their side said "only 2 more runs and we can get out of here".

Not a sore fan in the least bit, they played GREAT ball tonight, I have no doubts about that.

    upset

    Salisbury 2
    West Stanly 1

I think it's safe to label this an upset. Dupree for Salisbury gave up only 4 hits and 1 earned-run in the bottom of the 7th. West couldn't get the bats going, but if the defense hadn't collasped in one inning, then the bats wouldn't have mattered. Tyler Almond for West threw a 1-hitter, striking out 11, and giving up 0 earned-runs. West had 4, yes 4, errors in the inning where the 2 runs scored. Almond didn't allow a baserunner in any other inning. Tough loss for the Colts...congrats on the great season.
Congrats to Salisbury, and good luck in the second round.
