Upcoming American Legion Season!

Sorry about that, meant Post 77. My understanding is no way they are using Blue Ridge. Wanted to use West Henderson but they will have to schedule around the West Henderson summer team and there are some other issues. I think East Henderson is still a possibility if they can come to an agreement. Don't have one as of yet. I think this team has kinda split with the local legion post, what I was told. That may be having an affect. They should have a good crop of players this year so I hope they find a field. The only other 2 fields in the county, North Henderson and Hendersonville do not have lights.

 

I heard through the grapevine that Winston (North Forsyth bunch plus a few others) will be loaded. Ackley & Addison Johnson are supposed to play...& they have a ton of talent leftover from last season. They could be scary good. I think Nick DeRose is still eligible. I wonder if he will return from a fab Freshman year at Appy St to join them??

 

1st legion game for Kannapolis Post 501 this Saturday 5-20-06 as Burlington travels to Ktown. Still missing some players, but let the games begin.

 

Roxboro Post 138 opens Sunday versus Burlington at Person High School at 7:00.

I would have felt like 337 would have been extremely good, but Ryan Morris has decided not to play for 337, he doesn't want to take a chance of getting hurt before the draft. That is a shame for all of you Legion fans, but I guess he is doing what is best for his future.

Morris will be playing for for 337...there are some questions as to games he will pitch based on possible workouts for the draft as we do have to keep his future in mind.

If he is lucky enough to be drafted and sign then he would not have the opportunity to play for 337....if it does not work out then he will play a full schedule of Legion and head to Clemson in the fall.

170 is real as ever

i haven't played legion much, but i'm a great lookin guy and thats pretty much all that matters, you know?.. i think 170 is goin to do it real big this year, reppin the dirrty dirrty, down in trailorsville.. ya heard? check us thugs out, bring the love.:229031_ha peace ez.

 

Mooresville (Post 66) and S. Rowan play a home and home tonite and Saturday.

 

Denver Legion Post 455 has two wins so far. Thursday at East Burke winning 11-5 and tonite at Bandys winning 15-6.
