Have said all season that Ragsdale is the team to beat in 3A. Nothing has changed my mind. However, I wouldn't use the word "smash" in the 2nd round of the state playoffs.

I'm thinking Ragsdale is gonna take this game but I think Glenn is going to give them all they want. I believe Glenn is going to start Jr. lefthander Eli Robins, who when on can be very tough, but then again who isnt tough when they are on? I'm looking forward to the match up tomorrow night in Jamestown....game time is at 7 (is that right??)

it should be a great game. Junior Catlin Carter is pitching for Ragsdale. He is 6-0 on the season and has numerous saves. He is probably a better closer than starter - he has that closers mentality. He isn't that big but he throws hard and throws strikes. If Ragsdale can keep doing it from the plate they should make it to the next round. If they do and SW Guilford can beat West Rowan it would set up one helluva third round rivalry game in Jamestown next Tuesday.

SW and Ragsdale are big time rivals - usually play each other twice a year - but this year the SW AD dropped Ragsdale from football schedule - Ragsdale always creams them - but it's a huge gate - so the Ragsdale AD dropped all the other SW games in every sport. Of course there is the playoffs - They met in football - game went to OT and Ragsdale barely won. SW tennis team knocked the boys out this week - girls soccer was a game away from meeting but Ragsdale lost.

But the baseball teams are bitter rivals so a matchup next week would be the game of the third round.

All I can say is Ragsdale better keep winning - 'cause I won't be there tonight - again - and I have to see them play at least one playoff game in Jamestown.

    CJ Beatty

What happen to CJ Beatty in the game? Was it the over all plan not to pitch to him. Cat and Mullins could handle him right? What could he have done?
He's a good hitter I hear, but 4 BB's come on. Is He That Tuff!
