    To CFBall

Thank you for your statement, all of my officials will tell you that I am a straight shooter, and if the truth hurts, then they have a problem. I will carry this and have already contacted Chapel Hill about these concerns. I want to try to make it better for the girls, they are the only ones that matter here.

Cheeze, so that was in the rule book and NC2UMP states this...I am confused. If the rule was changed back this year, why is their confusion over the rule book? Ump, anyone?

Yeah, they need to throw all four pitches. That's a talent the pitcher and the catcher need to connect on. I've seen a batter whack a pitch right back over the pitchers head because she didn't get it far enough out of the zone.

I can't believe that there is a thread like this on this board. It's basic stuff, not rocket science.

There is a thread like this because someone had a question that needed answering. Umpires across the state had different interpretations of the rule and there needed to be clarification...sorry you have a problem with this Outlaw, but I am glad he asked.

    Rule Books are Cheap

Never known a coach not to have a rule book. And to think that a thread on a website is going to "clarify" a rule. I like to see the argument at the plate..."Well I read on a message board that you didn't have to throw the four balls..." That would be a classic.

It's not bad knowing before you start something.
