    West Lincoln 4 North Stanly 1

    West Lincoln defeats North Stanly 4-1.
    The Rebels scored 3 runs in the top of the first.
    Senior pitcher Chris Henderson pitched a 4 hitter, while stricking out 15.
    Payden Houser went 2-4, Paul Finger 1-2, Jake Watts 2-3, Chris Henderson (1-HR).
    The Rebels are now 23-7 and will play in the western finals in a best of 3 series.

    I remember some of those WL names when they played Southland Football as kids. Good for them!

    I just got an update from one of the West Lincoln parents, 13K's for WL, 14K''s for NS. Apparently NS missed a good opportunity in the first inning with runners at 2nd and 3rd, no outs, but couldn't get them home. Each team had one solo home run. Game went very quick. WL travels to Forbush Thursday.

    From what I was told, the players, fans and coaches at North Stanly were first class last night. Pulled hard for their team but showed outstanding sportsmanship before, during and after the game.
