    Graham 2 - N. Pitt 2
Graham led 2-0. NP scored 1 in 5th ? and again in 6th to tie. Made it thru 11 innings still tied. Bottom dropped out several times, thunder / lightning... all the animals were lining up in pairs of two's... Lights blew out on the field. Anyway, scheduled continuation for Monday at 5pm. Nice game so far. To be continued...

Heard thru grapevine Harnett 2 - So. Alalamance 1.

Thanks for the compliment. You guys played a great game. The inside park homer was the first earned run allowed by SWR starter Brittany Marsh all season (had allowed only 12 hits coming in). She had 9 Ks through 6 innings. Anna Maness relieved in the 7th and threw gas. 2 IP, lots of Ks, and the win. That gal was pumped up.
We are fortunate with our pitching situation. We have another one who can throw it pretty well. The two you guys saw last night are stoppers though. Both get people out at the travel ball level. Anna pitches for the Rage, and Brittany for Rick McHones Cardinals. Marsh is also approaching the state record for doubles in a season (record is 17, she has 16).
Unfortunately only one team could go to Raleigh. Maybe we can do it again sometime (next year?). Congrats on a great season to you guys.

Whitney Thomason was the winning pitcher allowing just a one hit single. Forbush pitcher also pitched a good game allowing a triple to Pisgah's Kathryn Geouge. Robin Burnett then bunted and reached firstand then second as Forbush held Geouge on third. Adrien Crawford hit a hard shot to second base that rebounded off the glove of the fielder and Geouge and Burnett both scored.

Whitney Thomason has not allowed a run in the three post season play off games.

A long drive for a short game!

Obviously you guys didn't get a chance to adjust to the rise ball. N Pitt is a two-girl show (P/C). It will interesting to see if that's enough in Raleigh. At 3A or 4A it wouldn't work but haven't seen the 2A's from the West I have no basis on which to state an opinion.

Yeah, that would be a problem. Ofcourse, we were up 2-0 on Friday and made the same mistakes we've made all year to allow them to tie it up. We had our chance. For some reason, we won't make adjustments necesary to win at this level. Whatchagonnado??? Have enjoyed the whole experience. Good luck to those who remain. We'll see ya next year.

    yes

mistakes & errors are part of the game, but you do hate to see them repeated time & again.
