Crawdads versus Intimidators

    I spoke a bit about this during the winter, but its coming up and I wanted to remind everyone and the powers at be the the Hickory Crawdads will take on the Kannapolis Intimidators at MS Deal in Granite Falls (site of the NW4A championships and home of Caldwell Post 29 and Granite Falls Middle School) on June 13th at 5pm.

    I tried REALLY hard to set up a day/night doubleheader with Post 29 to play after it but with the success of South Caldwell, Caldwell Post 29 isn't able to add a game. I thought about moving an existing game there, but no one seems to be biting that one either. Its still possible, just not very likely.

    But I would like to see all the TBRsters come out and watch a game at a truly beautiful ballpark and help a community that has been ravaged by unemployment and failing furniture market. Tickets are going to be 5 dollars and its all general admission.

    On a side note, with all the Caldwell County posters on here, if anyone knows of a company that would like to sponsor the Caldwell Clash at MS Deal, call 322-3000 and ask for me, David Parsons. :deal:

    No Problem.

    The Kannapolis Intimidators are the single A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and the Hickory Crawdads are the single A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Both play in the South Atlantic League with the Greensboro Grasshoppers, Asheville Tourists, etc.

    Oh whoops. I thought it was an AAU team of some sort out that way playing vs the Crawdads.

    I will definitely be there. It would be nice to have a sponsor step up...maybe if you can find a way to host Roxborough Legion team for that night, PersonRocketsDad might be able to help also

    There are some fine folks up there and it sure would be nice to help them in any way...as well as watching a good ball game

    Its just the name that the game here has been dubbed. We are just bringing everything that we do at LP Frans to MS Deal for a game in Caldwell County. I didn't come up with it, I think Dave Haas did. But I still like the ring of it.

    Any other suggestions? :)

    I am still up for making it the Double Dip at Deal... :imagestor
