Did anyone see the piece on Butler's softball team done by WBTV last night? They did a segment at 6pm and then followed up at 11pm with an interview with coach Stephen Lloyd. Very well done; thanks Delano and the rest of WBTV sports.
My question is, where are the other local stations and even The Charlotte Observer? This is great local news, a feel good story about hometown girls having a chance to fulfill a dream and its barely mentioned :wtf23: except here on TBR!!!
I guess it doesn't have enough death, destruction or politics to sell newspapers or ad space on the local 6 o'clock news:crap:
    talk to me fellow posters.....

WBTV has been real good following HS sports in general and Butler in particular this year (Thanks Cricket). The observer has done many peices on Softball throughout the season as have the Charlotte weekly and the local papers from Mint Hill and Matthews. I have become (among other things)
The unofficial Bulldog Historian Having been involved with Butler softball since the beginning. I keep a book with all the news clippings I come across every season and persent each senior with a copy containing there four years of stories. Belive me that as far as softball goes, this year has been the most covered season since the school opened .
Thanks to all the reporters and photographers that covered HS softball this season. :woot: :woot:

    WCNC - Channel 6

WCNC - Channel 6 had a clip on their Sports Extra program following the conference championship at UNCC. They ran a nice 3 minute segment with an interview of Coach Lloyd. The segment included game footage of the victory over Weddington for the championship.

Saw both videos and it's about time, but Butler still has to take care of business this weeknd, end of story. Too many years behind the CC shadow... Heck, CC is still getting the press as we speak... A State Title will change things a little. Butler has enough talent to be contenders for the next two years at least but they really need to take advantage of this years team.. They have two tremdous pitchers and incredible speed at the top of lineup. The power hitters will have to make major adjustments in their swing and settle for the single vs. the extra base hit to suceed in the States...

Tony, Im looking forward to talking with you, its been a while my friend.
Im not suure there is a favorite in 4A Both teams bring unbeliveable talent (in all aspects of the gane) My guess is, as in most games between great teams the winner will be the one that gets the timely break or does not make the untimely error.
Im as nervous as a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I hate the hours leading up to a game, nothing to do but wait. Once the game starts all is well, but the wait kills me.
