There were 26 total in Mid State 2A. Orange had seven as well. We basically have only 9 varsity players with a few JV's thrown in for good measure. I have no idea how coaches arrive at selections, but having all nine on there is pretty nice for the girls.

wow an entire team of all-conf. players; it would have been a shame to leave off one of the starters.
in the big scheme of things, it really doesn't matter much, but why not go into this all-conf. process with a understanding that it will be a "team" with a normal team # of say 15 players and select the "cream".

pop44, not picking on you or any conference specifically; just see too much of this "feel good" honors.

'salright.Thought about that. In our conference, I'd say they all deserved it. Not sayin' they'd be in any other conference, nor am I being cocky - just the way it is. Other than with Orange, most of our conference games were ten run plus games. We also had 2A state champ on the ropes for 11 innings in the third round- I think the only team to score on them in playoffs. Actually had 'em down by 2 through 5 innings(??). (Gee - ya get the feelin' someone is having a hard time letting go of that game???) :supergrin . Anyway, what's wrong with making a bunch of girls feel good about working hard and staying out of trouble?
