Huntersville at Newell. Huntersville came back in the top of the 9th to tie the game at 5 to 5 only to lose it in the bottom.

    Coach Smith

    Hey Braves,

Yes, Coach Smith is still the head coach for the Braves and Chris Anderson is the pitching coach (also pitching coach at the Abbey). I am another assistant as well as Andrew Cooper from LR.

Gaston Braves take two from Cherryville

Last night the Gaston Braves took two from Cherryville in the completion of a earlier rained out game and a second game at SPHS.

In the first game the Braves went on to win 14-3 in 7 inn.

    W-Charlie Hill 1-0
    L-Daniel Styers

Leading Hitters-GB Josh Frazier HR, Ben Merritt HR, Todd Palmer, Justin Moore
    Ch-Steven Hoyle.

In the second game the Braves won a close one 4-3. This was a well pitched game as Cherryville threw two good arms out there in Blue Ridge players Wayne McDonald and Chris Cook.

The Braves threw David Bumgardner and they only game up 2 hits in 7 inn.

This brings the Braves record to 10-1 overall, 8-1 in Area IV East.

**The Braves next game will be on Saturday night at 7 against Pineville Post 337. This should be a good game as both team only have one loss in Area IV East play and are tied for 1st place.

Should be a great ball game b/c Pineville is slap loaded with talent and are a well coached team.
