    Sorry

    Sorry,
I didn't know where my kids had gone this morning, guess I know now. I thought they had gone to "work out". :1peekdoor

Seriously, You are right, people in general are good, but some are not involved or are too involved, to the point of smothering.....

Anybody know the story on the fight?

It was a player for the 14 U Attitude and another person that was there as a spectator that were involved. That player was back on Sunday in uniform and played. What a poor reflection on herself and her team!:twocents:

Could it be the so called "other person" who went up to the Attitude players and started the scuffle, might have had another agenda?

I am not sure who started what. From what I have seen and heard, I think that this situation has been brewing for a long time and came to a head over the weekend.

IMO, once you put on the uniform and enter the ballpark, you need to set yourself to a higher standard. Remember, everyone is watching. I wouldn't want something like this to come back and haunt me!!:twocents:

There are a couple dozen people that know who started it.

Whether you are wearing a uniform or not, you need to set yourself to a higher standard, spectators included. IMHO

CAROLINA ATTITUDE 14 AND UNDER. It seems by the looks of this message board that no one seems to know what actually happened in Pilot Mtn. The girl involved who presently plays for the NC Bandits (which was not playing in this tournament). She had came with her former team The Lady Warriors just as a spectator this tournament. She admitted to the Director and all involved that she approached one of the Carolina Attitude players first, then she turned on the other Carolina Attitude player pushed and hit her. There were approximately 10-15 adults in the parking lot from varies teams that witnessed this incident. Also, the NC Bandits player that started the incident also implicated that the adults/coaches were the ones pushing her to tell a different story but she was a better person than that and told the truth. The story has it that it is an underlining conflict with certain coaches/parents pushing the issue to get certain players banned. If you will look around at the ones that continuously switch from team to team you will find the problems. They just can't seem to fit in anywhere. What is really sad is the girls involved were fine and hugging one another. The entire matter was over with and settled until the certain parents got involved. It is unfortunate that this incident occured. I think the adults/parents need to find something better to do with their time than to sit here on a message board and bash these girls and TRY and get them banned from ballgames and tournaments. Let them play ball and have fun. Just because there is an irriate or jealous parent/coach doesn't mean the girls should have to go through this. They are 13 and 14 year old girls and they act more mature sometimes than the parents. Its really a shame that parents take it to such an extreme, wonder what is next? Everyone should respect all Directors, umpires of these tournaments that put so much time and effort to make these tournaments work for these girls. It seems that all the slander and rumors should cease and if there are any questions maybe this should be taken up with the directors who has been told the truth by the parties involved that started this confortation and not be discussed on a message board.

We all wish the 1 girl from the NC Bandits and the 2 girls from the Carolina Attitude the best of luck. And yes, they all will be dressed out and ready to play ball their next tournament.

We all sit on this board and wonder about what the issue is with ethics and morals in the game and where they have gone. The prior response to this thread is EXACTLY what is wrong today.

This quote from the response tells it all " she approached one of the Carolina Attitude players first, then she turned on the other Carolina Attitude player pushed and hit her " and "Also, the NC Bandits player that started the incident also implicated that the adults/coaches were the ones pushing her to tell a different story" It then goes on to say " We all wish the 1 girl from the NC Bandits and the 2 girls from the Carolina Attitude the best of luck. And yes, they all will be dressed out and ready to play ball their next tournament."

By the way this part of the thread has done nothing but lesson the great tournament/result that the Attitude 12U accomplished. This should be seperated out from the original posting and stand on its own thread

    Interesting???

I teach my children to defend themselves and that should never reflect poorly on any child or the team! I guess you would of had her stand there and take a beating all for the glamour of it??? Closed minds that tend to speculate negatively obviously have a one sided biased opinion from the start.

With the girl back in uniform and playing on Sunday should tell you that she didn't do anything wrong (aka.. defending herself) and at least someone with good sense was able to see through the mud behind the real motive of of "why" others didn't want her to play. :umno:

why is this of interest to anyone other than the parties involved, the team(s), the sanctioning body where the event occurred and possibly law enforcement? Those entities will deal with the incident as they see fit. The rest of us should stop reveling gossipy nature of this thread or anything else of the nature of "I heard" so and so and so and so. Its time for high sounding posters to walk the walk...
