2006 NCFSCA All-State Teams Announced!

This reflects two facts

Teams are stronger in the west and there are more coaches in the west that care enough to nominate players. Of course, these factors are tied to one another! I know some very deserving kids in my "neck of the woods" who were not included. Not the committee's fault . . . . they can only choose kids that were nominated.

I had the same problem. I could only see the 2005 All-State team.

I logged on with a different screen name and it brought up the 2006 All-State team right away. Not sure why I can't see it from my screen name.

How can you make All State Honorable Mention and not make All Conference?

 

It seems like these days all conference really doesnt mean that much anymore. Due to politics and the way some of the conferences select the all conference teams.

Monica Abbott was second team All-SEC and first team All American . . . . this sort of things happens at all levels.

Sometimes conference coaches seem to have their own little agendas. Fortunately, these are sometimes rectified in the bigger picture. Congrats to all.

 

It would appear that there are some politics involved on the all state teams as well.

Congrats to all the fine young ladies/athletes who were selected to the all-state team. Some people just cannot accept the fact that this is a legitimate voting process and that politics have nothing to do with it. Why can't you just be happy for those that are voted to the all-state team and put your jealousy aside?

Yes i agree. Very impressive list. I was just wondering how does the number 5 hole and a great glove and arm is left off, not the all state team, because its definately, without a doubt a lot of other girls that deserved to make all state than RED did. Been out of town playing softball the last few weeks, greensboro and charleston, i found out that if you are nominated, you will atleast make honorable metnion for the all gazette team. It seems that its hard for some people to seperate, maybe their personal feelings towards a parent and some how it goes back on the player. I was just wondering does anyone else get this kind of treatment towards their kids?? What a damn shame. A little advice, if this happens to your child or someone else, this is the way i handle it...just keep working hard and one day you can definately show them how wrong they were. Not to many ways to show your disgust or disappointment, id like to see other comments or advice in the way someone else may handle the same situation. And if this sounds like im just bitching and whining, anyone that knows or has seen RED play, im sure they know what the hell im talking about. Im already ready for next season. So, maybe i can get that last word in, because in kings mountain, you dont get the last word. Thanks for listening to a dad's disgust. R Cogdill
