    Caldwell County defeats Union County 5 - 1 at M.S. Deal Statdium in Granite Falls. Caldwell leads series 2 - 0. Andrew Berry pitched well for Caldwell. Brian Chandler came on in relief around the 6th inning and pitched well until the 9th inning when Madison Bumgarner came in and shut down the side. So far Madison has only pitched 2 innings in this series with both being the 9th inning each night.

    Shelby rallied to beat Huntersville, 11-8, to take a 2-0 series lead.
