Braves, have you seen KB umpire? wow, great mechanics, great knowledge of rules and great judgement.... I don't know where he learned his strike signal, but its outstanding - he is my hero.:229031_ha

Oh man, your taking all the fun out of this thread. Its obvious you have some kind of grudge, but to dog DP like that is out of line. What he has meant to the 29ers program is unbelievable, you can't even measure it. He is one of the unsung hero's on the 29er team, just ask Hamby what DP has done and meant to the 9ers. He supports each and everyone of these team members and is there to help the coaches with stats and anything else that needs to be done. Not to mention the support to area high schools especially South Caldwell. I have witnessed the last several years what DP has done for the 9ers and let me say THANK YOU.

    .

I second that statement Carolina Man. David Parsons is a great man who puts the kids first everytime. Noone should have any reason to bash him. Also stating that Marc Church being the best pitcher to come out of South Caldwell might be a stretch. Most "old timers" would vote Kevin Simmons hands down. Tons of talent and more determination. I believe he's the only pitcher to lead SC to a state championship.......thus far

    post 29...

29ers backs are against the wall, but I guarantee... we're not done

    Caldwell 4

    Pineville 8

I really feel that the focus at this point is on the big show ( STATE TOURNAMENT ). 29er are coming off back to back area IV titles and after finishing runner-up in the state in 2004 and 6th in the state last year, its time for the ring and the title. Not that they wouldn't like to win the area again, they just have to be careful how they approach the State Tournament. Just my opinion.....:bird1:

Caldwell was supposed to be the big dog and it looks like Pineville didn't see it that way! All I've read is Caldwell this Caldwell that, and they are, by the way, very good, but there is baseball elsewhere!
Pineville deserves a pat on the back! There hadn't been a lot of talk about Charlotte baseball but there should be!
Or it looks that way! There is a lot of baseball to be played but congrats to Pineville for not looking past this series!

the score was 8-4 by the way, not 7-4. a pineville team who is missing their leadoff man (C. Austin) and their cleanup man (M. Fulginiti), not to mention Bard, has really stepped up and are playing good baseball right now. keep it up fellas, sweep 'em tom. night and bring meck. county its first area IV title in awhilllllllle

I have a feeling Caldwell County might end there season just like they started it. 5 L's in a row. But since Bumbardner will be ineligible for the state tournament I'm sure all the fans on here are ready with the excuses. Funny how I haven't heard anybody from Pineville say anything about playing without there .700 hitter. Maybe it's because they realize there are 9 players on the field. If you rely totally on just one, you haven't got much of a team.
