What year or year's did you play? What year did you graduate?

 

tonights matchup features Reid Rollison for pineville vs. Matt Gragg for Post 29. should be a great matchup, rollison is a natural 3B but can pitch alil bit as he has shown this summer, he's 6-0 i believe. Gragg is also very talented, a few of pinevilles guys know what he's got, since they faced him in this years shelby tourny vs. charlotte christian. Should be a great game, the 29ers bats came alive late in the game last night as they were hitting the ball pretty dang hard and posted a few runs. But...if pineville plays good solid defense behind Rollison, i'm 100% sure they'll get the DUB tonight and become area IV champs.

Listen, let me explain something. This and the Cherryville thread are the only threads that I have allowed smack talk in our 6 year history of the board. I allowed it because the posters from those areas seem to like it.

But it is not tolerated anywhere else. We are about promoting the players that deserve recognition. There are many, many college coaches, HS coaches, players parents and young kids that read this forum everyday. We need to keep our negativity G rated.

There are also many other websites that tolerate and in some cases encourage trashtalkin'...but we aren't one of those sites. I will tolerate it here...but not in any other thread

 

I too am all about getting back to baseball here. We went down the wrong road somewhere here.

Bobby Dale Fan, I got your PM and I do accept your apology. Also understand TBR has powers-at-be. And for you to register, you have to give up some information about yourself so they don't get held liable for things said on here. (I knew that Business Law course would come in handy ) So it is in your best interest not to attack the guys that have moderator or administrator in their title... If you are who they say you are (and I think you are), stop it because you don't have a leg to stand on. You were given tons of oppertunities and even a job because of Coach Hamby and Post 29.

Now, I have a request. Is there a way to delete this thread oh say back to page 8 or so... lets get back to talking about baseball and the real stars of this show... the players. I enjoy telling you guys about these guys and what goes on in their careers. If the Cherryville crowd doesn't like it, they can jump on me all they want. I am a homer and proud of it.

 

I'm with DS on this. Let's get away from the Bobby Dale stuff and move on to baseball.

 

Sorry guys, that's probably my fought about the bobby dale stuff and it kind of got out of hand. It started back when there was a possibility that Caldwell might play Cherryville for the area IV championship. I take my humbled hat off to you.....

Its a Caldwell thread, so let me tell you about that Gragg kid. I have seen some amazing outings when hes on. When hes not on, I have seen some amazing shots hit off of him.

Coach Hamby reminds me and others alot that the playoffs is like nothing you have even seen because there are players that seem to come out of nowhere to shine. Matt (I hope you read this), its your time son. As a team for Caldwell to accomplish what it wants, you have to be the man.

Another case in point, where the heck did Brad Craig come from? He used and abused Shelby and Gaston.

Every year it seems people in the Area IV, are sticking their fingers in the holes of a dam to stop the Caldwell County river from barreling through. Pineville might have enough fingers to slow them down. I might be wrong, but I think the river is still coming... and I think it might be real fun to watch..

I like Matt Gragg a lot, too. He's a tremendous competitor. He has a mechanical flaw that causes him to move his head during his delivery, which causes his ball to flatten out and to remain high. When Matt irons this out and becomes consistent with his mechanics....I'm tellin' ya now. He will be outstanding in college. I really think Matt shows MLB potential.

 

Downsouth I was just trying to pump the team up. I know when I was a player I played better when I was mad. An I know that I put information on here to sign up but no one konows if it is right or not. So sorry for any mad feelings I will stop talking junk cause I dont want people getting mad at the wrong person.
CALDWELL good luck in the state tournament and DP keep up the great work.
