I think austin is down in Fla. for his little bros national tournament for the week. bard is done for the summer, i think he's beginning some rehab soon. and m. fulginiti is still having shoulder problems from the 1st round.

It is amazing how the majority of kids are never fully committed to summer programs any more. From legion to showcase players, alot of them put their own agenda before the teams. I put most of the blame with the parents. This is the main reason why kids are soft today, their parents.

I should have started a new thread, sorry

twig, i disagree with you, for most of these kids this is their last summer at home, b/c they will be playing summerball somewhere for the next 3 years, who cares if they miss a couple games for vacation with friends or family, they've been playing almost everyday for 3 months on their legion team and have had no time off at all whatsoever. that doesn't make them soft at all

    Caldwell County

Gragg has already pitched. He pitched Saturday, July 22. I think maybe 6 innings or so. Caldwell County won 15-8. I wouldn't think he would be on the mound tonight.

Yeah...no way Gragg pitches. Outside of MB and I guess Chandler, who else is ready to go for Caldwell?

Then do not play. Nothing good comes from missing a big series or showcase when you are part of a team. When I coach a summer team, the first question I ask is how committed will you be. When a player shows up when he wants to, trouble is about to start. Playing baseball for 3 months is nothing. Look at all the athletes that played 3 sports in high school and then summer ball. If a kid signs on to play ball, he should not miss anything unless he is hurt, sick, or has to go to a funeral. No excuses!!!!!

Well, to share what I know. Chase's 'lil brother is playing in a National Tournament. His 'lil brother has followed him around all of his life to games, tournaments, etc....this is the only chance Big Brother will have an opportunity to watch his little brother play in such a prestigious event.

The series only affects the seeding, not the actual participation to the State Championship. The coach gave him his blessings and told him he has his priorities in order...that's good enough for me.
