Kannapolis (31-8) wins Area III championship for 3rd time in last 4 years (2003, 2004, 2006), and is actually making its 4th state tournament appearance since 2000. As for a recap of our current playoff run, Kannapolis swept Mooresville in 1st round 3-0, beat Rowan County 3-2 in 2nd round, swept Kernersville 3-0 in 3rd round, and beat Randolph County 3-1 in area finals.

Will post more about the current team later. Congrats guys!!!

    TBR Poster Meeting

The 2006 American Legion State Tournament at Finch Field in Thomasville would be a great time and place for a TBR poster's meeting. Probably best time would be on Friday July 28 (opening day) before chips start getting on shoulders:ylsuper: ...

Nevertheless, someone just throw out some suggestions by looking at the first day schedule and I'd look forward to seeing some of you again, and meeting others as well.

We play the 1st day at 4pm, so I can about be there anytime on day 1.

Btw, in case you haven't heard, they are supposedly selling "beverages" at the stadium, so again just another reason for an early meeting...:satana:

    Question about Directions

The directions on the legion tournament website take you up Business 85 thru Lexington which may be the best way, but it can sometimes get congested, not to mention current road construction right at Lexy BBQ. Mapquest gives you another set of directions completely. Does anyone in the Thomasville/Lexington area know any simple directions to the ballpark we can pass on to fans where they can just stay on I-85 all the way up to Thomasville? Thanks.
