    Coach 27,
I understand and agree with what you're saying about the local media outlets across the state, etc. The problem is compounded in Asheville, Hendersonville, Waynesville, etc., for the fact that we are not surrounded by the bigger colleges/schools we would like for our athletes to attend. A coach/scout from UNC, State, etc., can't just drive for an hour or less to see our athletes and, logically, will not come to see them at all unless their name has gotten so big that it has reached these schools through the media - which isn't going to happen. I agree that in your area the media is consumed in their sports coverage with college and professional sports; our media here, however, is just plain poor. They don't cover any sports well. There's nothing else going on locally to consume their time. We don't have good thorough college sports reporting, professional sports, etc. I think this site is helping an extreme amount, but I guess what I'm saying is that I wished our kids did not have to leave their homes to travel to Ohio (i.e. Midland) to get some of the exposure that they should be getting if our media did a better job or if communication with the rest of the state could be enhanced. It's a problem in all of sports, not just baseball. However, it is comforting, but unfortunate, to know that people in the rest of the state are having the same frustrations.

    Inning 1

so far with inning 1 this game hasn't impressed me at all! catchers havent got use to the pitchers and they can't catch a lick. You see no fielding outs. Hitters either strike out or get a hit and the balls to the fielders they misplay and make errors. I dont know if they are just trying too hard but so far this first inning is getting rather ridiculous. I do see that Michael Maine? the pitcher for East runs a 6.4 and that is really impressive with also throwing 99 with a sick duece but yet is gettin lit up by these West All stars. but overall not impressed at all

I was told Madison Bumgarner will be pitching the 4th inning for the East.

bumgarner threw a scoreless 4th for the east after giving up a 2 out double and hitting a batter.
