Well, unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with you Baseball 2 - the game has been a big disappointment to me. You're right - the catchers on both sides act as if they haven't caught a game before. And the outfielding is atrocious - some of the guys need to wear a helmet into the field - I'm afraid they're going to get hurt because the routine pop flies are going to hit them in the head. Anyhow, I thought Sam Runion looked fairly good on the mound as did Bumgarner.

Most of the OF's never played out there in their life. The LF for the West was dangerous out there (or in danger):D

There were some players that were truly awesome, but I thought, overall, this was the weakest AFLAC game I have seen in their 4 years.

Maine was too hyped for the game. I thought Madison and Sam pitched very well.

I thought the most polished pitcher was Porcello (the one that gave up the HR to Stock)...that kid will be a star.

I thought Justin Jackson was overmatched batting.

No matter what the announcers were talking about, there were not that many 1st rounders in this group and the one's that will be are pitchers.

Well..as usual...your analysis is right on the mark, Braves. I'm just glad the game ended without any outfielders having to be hauled off due to injury.

what did Madison top out at? Did he just throw the one inning?

I thought Madison was one of just a few pitchers that stayed within themselves. He did not try to overthrow, which was a problem for many of the pitchers. He was consistently 90-92, topped out at 93.

I'm sure if he wanted to really let one fly he could have, but like I said, he stayed in control. Yep, he only threw one inning.

I thought the catching was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E.

The Stock kid has received a lot of hype and he is very good (not as a catcher), but I look at him as the poor man's Matt Wieter, GT's All American catcher/pitcher

    catching

Braves, the catchers for the East and West, Rams and Stock do not catch very often. Stock just started catching full time after hurting his shoulder, and Rams plays more first base than he does catcher. I agree though, the other catchers weren't very impressive!

Rock N Fire- you would have fit in well out in San Diego. I think you would have dominated.
