    3 feet issue

I feel that it would be good for high schools to go ahead and go to 43 feet. My DD's travel team plays tournaments that set up at 43 feet instead of 40. Having the same distance as college ball will help tremendously in preparation for that level. Having to go back and forth can be a little frustrating at some time, especially working on the change ups and breaking ball pitches. We were at the Rock Hill SC tourney last weekend and there was one pitcher on one of the teams we faced that you could tell she hadn't played much, if any 43 ft. games. She had good pitches and movement, but struggled hitting the zone.

My daughters batting and pitching became more effective at 43 feet - her batting immediately, and her pitching after a little adjustment. It's not hard for her to switch distances anymore, but we prefer to stay with the 43 foot distance since that is what she'd be pitching and playing in college.
