Recommendations for hitting coaches!

    New to the charlotte area and I am looking for a hitting coach for my 12yrd old. I have seen some sites, but would like recommendations if you have any.

    Quality Hitting Coach

    I heard Coach Ochoa or Coach "O" as he is known, who was the former Queens Unviersity head coach is now giving private hitting/defense lessons and private team sessions. He is a very good instructor from young kids obviously all the way up to college level. Maybe someone can let us know how we can get in touch with him.

    There is a very good hitting instructor in the Winston-salem area. His name is Ben McKenney. He is the hitting coach for my neighbor's daughter's high school and travel teams. He is also the hitting instructor for a couple other area high schools as well as for the 18U Carolina Cardinals.

    I was told last year he conducted some winter clinics as and was very busy with private lessons. Here is email and phone that I found on another thread- [email protected] 336-766-3247

    My recommendation is that hitting a coach probably isn't the best sportsmanship

    Mike Price - Hitting Instructor

    Mike Price is an excellent hitting instructor. He ran a travel organization in the Midwest for a number of years and concentrated on hitting instruction. His daughter, Emily Price, was one of the best hitters ever for Coach Pappa at UNC. She now plays professionally for Akron and is an assistant at Western Carolina. Mike is a great guy, lives in Durham, loves the game, and is very knowledge. He has a great way about him with kids and communicates clearly and simply. You can reach him at (919) 452-1865.
